If you’re a driven or high-achieving man, you no doubt never thought you would seek therapy. Why would you? You’re in control. You know what you want and you go after it, but somehow there is still something missing. You’re the man who has conquered your goals, or damn near close. You find that your high-stress job contributes to resentment or detachment in your relationships, and those around you complain that you are irritable or demanding, or worse, they simply avoid you. You’re used to being the strong one and having others rely on you. Sometimes you may feel all alone. Others seek your advice and wisdom. Sometimes this can be overwhelming. Maybe you’ve told yourself that therapy “isn’t your thing.” You may even still be of the old-fashioned mindset that “therapy is for crazy people.” The thing is, even if you are used to being in charge, it is important to “unplug, download, and refuel” to work at optimum efficiency. The strong ones need support too. Therapy doesn’t mean tears, although that’s perfectly ok. As your therapist, I am your confidant, a sounding board, and an accountability partner. Every so often you need to consult with a professional and your personal life is no different. Weekly Zoom Group Therapy
Covering topics of stress, relationship/marriage strengthening skills, parenting, family/life balance, aging, sex, communication styles.
Monday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 90 minutes/ $60 per week
Designed for men aged 30-99+. Aimed at creating deeply trusting relationships with other men who are focused on personal growth while learning to be vulnerable in a world where you have been taught that it’s not ok. What a ridiculous notion. The goal is to increase your self awareness, share insights, encourage positive change, learn to give and receive feedback, and renew relationships, . If there is sufficient interest, we may be able to add an additional day or time.
As always, private sessions are offered Monday through Friday and Sunday afternoons, 12-5pm.
